Finding your North Star

When you feel lost or unfulfilled, it is often because you are drifting from your core values. We help you clarify what matters most and build a life aligned with it.

Why values matter

Values are not goals. Goals are things you achieve (checking a box); values are directions you travel (like West). You never "arrive" at a value, but they guide every step you take.

Anxiety and depression often thrive when there is a gap between what we care about and how we are actually spending our time.

How we work with values

We utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you identify your values and take committed action towards them, even when difficult emotions show up.

The Compass Metaphor

Think of values as a compass. When you are lost in the woods (life's challenges), looking at your feet gets you nowhere. Using your compass (values) ensures that even small steps are moving you in the right direction.
  • Clarification: Distinguishing your true values from "shoulds" and societal rules
  • The Bullseye: Assessing how fully you are living your values in work, love, play, and health
  • Committed Action: Setting small, concrete goals that honor your purpose
  • Meaning Making: Finding purpose even in the midst of pain or monotony

Who this is for

This is helpful if you are:

  • Feeling "stuck" or going through the motions
  • Facing a major decision and paralyzed by choice
  • Experiencing existential dread or asking "What's the point?"
  • Wanting to build a life that feels authentic to you
